Final Lighthouse in oils - Underpainting

Update 10/7/25: Work begins on the final version of this theoretical pre-electricity lighthouse. The ultra-wide format seems to me to be the best way to go with this image. The sketches show this gives the image the open and airy feel that I would like for it to have. This final version will be in oils. The acrylic under-painting is drying as I write this. After today's meetings I will revisit the image to check comp, structure, and values. I will recheck the same things tomorrow and continue with little revisions in the under-painting so that when it comes time to paint in oils the heavy lifting is already done.
