This painting is the end result of a series of drawings and paintings created throughout the second half of 2025. I wanted to explore the ideas of solitude and duty. The idea for this series came from the question of how a society would prevent coastal shipwrecks prior to electricity. Recent media I had consumed at the time certainly contributed to the visual language; Ghost of Tsushima was an obvious influence, as well as the Kaiju related material I have been looking at for the board game I have in development.
 
Shipping costs will be calculated after the painting has been purchased and will vary depending on the location being shipped to. Within the continental US shipping should be fairly straight forward and pickup here at my studio may even be an option. For international shipping, well I am in the United States so packaging and shipping costs cannot be determined until just prior to shipping. Any tariffs will be the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please look into how tariffs for items originating the US are handled by your country prior to purchase. Unfortunately this is the world we live in at the moment. I will do my best to make any reasonable accommodations and to make fulfillment as seamless as possible.
